About John C. Lindsey

A second-generation self storage owner, operator, developer and broker, John C. Lindsey has been in the self storage world his whole life. A sought-after speaker and broker in self storage worldwide, John offers a unique background and approach to a presumed-to-be archaic industry.

Co-Founder and President of Lindsey Self Storage Group, John Lindsey graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration with a Commercial Real Estate Development concentration. Licensed since 2008, his only focus has been self-storage as he has explored brokerage, development and management over the past seven years while working on various projects in both North and South Carolina.

John serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Self Storage Association and is the President of the Self Storage Association of South Carolina where he leads the Membership Benefits Committee and Founder of the President’s Circle. John is also a member of the National Self Storage Association Young Leaders Group. In addition to his active role in the self storage industry, John is on the Board of Directors for the Durham Academy Alumni Board, YEScarolina (based in Charleston, SC) and Caring House (based in Durham, NC).
